By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The atmospheric pressure increased in the south during Tuesday night, and moderate, strong westerly to southerly winds have predominated. Cloudy weather has ruled, and scattered rainfall has been reported. ■Present indications are for variable breozes, with northerlies predominating, northwards of New Plymouth and Napier, and east to south-east winds elsewhere. Expect mild and humid conditions generally, and drizzling rain in parts. The barometer has a falling tendency in the northern districts, but is likely to rise further in the south.
