SOCIALISTS CAUSING TROUBLE. .'/'' WAR MINISTER'S THREAI Received Oct. 21, 5.5 p.m. Rome, Oct. 20. Socialist deputies called General Bissokiti (War Minister) a renegade, and accused him'of interfering with Genera! Cudff.iia's plans by offering to send half a million men to France, while the enemy wa.s threatening Italy. General Bissolati declared that tho Socialists are causing disaffection. He also declared that if the country was endangered he would not hesitate to order its internal enemies to be. shot. An imrcav followed this statemen:. A COAL FAMINE. THE EFFECT OF THF. FIGHTING. Washington, Oct. 19. Advifeg from Rome state that a coat ,famine in Italy is pending. There ■will be no coal for household ÜBe this winter Dispatches from Rome state that the Austro-Germans have been compelled to withdraw forty divisions from the easttern front to reinforce the Austrian troops fighting against Italy. Already German, Turkish and Bulgarian troops' have been sent to the Italian front, but Austria has appealed to Germany for additional reinforcements. The majority of the troops arc endeavoring to withstand Italian pressure on the Baiusizza Plateau. ' ACUTE CABINET CRISIS Rome, Oct. 19. An acute Cabinet crisis has occurred -and the Government's downfall is believed to be imminent. The crisis was hastened by serious riots at Turin arising from tho declaration of the provinces of Alexandria, Genoa and Turin, as within the war zone. The riots were mainly due to a breakdown of the bread supply, for wliich the Government has been widely blamed, >
