A representative meeting of natives at Bloemfontein decided to publish a denial of the reports that the natives of the Free State are planning to ask for restoration of their own country and government, characterising the rumors as likely to assooiate the natives with the independence movement, and as a harmful interpretation of a lawful act in collecting evidence for the lands committee at the request of the Government.
