THE HUPMOBILE IN THE EAST AFRICAN CAMPAIGN. In the campaign in German East Africa, the British used Hupmobiles—also other cars. When the campaign ended the British Government, sold at : auction all surplus motor cars, but ordered that all Hupmobiles should be retained in service. More than that, several hundred more Hupmobiles have since been ordered for military use. This distinguished service of the llupp in the gruelling work of African warfare Is proof of this car's great stamina.
