PROJECTED AIR MINISTRY. ANOTHER IRISH GRIEVANCE. - Reuter Service. Received Oct. 17, 7.55 p.m. | London, Oct. 16. In the House of Commons, Mr. Bonar Law announced that a scheme for constituting an Air Ministry will shortly be introduced. Meanwhile, General Smuts will continue to supervise. Mr. Redmond has given notice of motion deploring the policy that has been and is being pursued by the Irish Executive Government and Irish military authorities at a time when the highest interests of Ireland and the Empire demand the creation of an atmosphere favorable to a successful result of the deliberations of the Irish ConventionPREMIER'S LIBEL ACTION SETTLED. Renter Service. Received Oct. 17, 6.45 p.m. London, Qcfc. 16. The High Court libel action by Mr. Lloyd George against the Exchange Telegraph Company, the Westminster Gazette, and the Star, has been settled, defendants apologising and paying the costs. The case arose out of the publication of a paragraph, issued by the Exchange Company, alleging that Mr. Lloyd George left Downing Street for the country when it was known raiders Were approaching. Plaintiff contended this, im* plied personal cowardice. He explained that he left London with flie military and naval leaders to attend a conference with the French war chiefs. All the defendants disclaimed that any imputation was intended. THE NEW WAR LOAN. London, Oct. 10. Applications for new war bonds last week amounted to nearly 38 millions sterling.
