OTICE is hereby given that his Excellency the Governor-General has by u arrant dated October 1, 1917 (New Zealand Gazette No. 15 dated 4th October, 1917) vested in the Taranaki County Council the control of those portions of Frankley, Tiikapo, Tarahua. Carrington and Avenue Roads forming the boundary between the New Plymouth Borough and the Taranaki County, and has directed that the cost of construction or maintenance, or widening, or reconstructing such portions of roads shall be borne in equal proportions by the New Plymouth Borough Council and the Taranaki County Council. CONTROL OF BOUNDARY ROADS. is hereby given that his Excellency the Governor-General has by Warrant dated Ist October. 1917 (New Zealand Gazette No. 15, dated 4th October, 1917) vested in the New Plymouth Borough Council the control of that portion of Doralto Road forming the boundary between the Borough and the Taranaki County, and 'has directed that the cost of construction or maintenance, or widening or reconstructing the portion of the road referred to shall be borne in equal proportions by the Taranaki County Council and the New Plymouth Borough Council. EGMONT COUXTY COUNCIL. In the matter of The Counties Act, WOS, and of The Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, and any amendment of the * said Acts and each of them respectively: T£iRE Egmont County Council hereby gives Public Notice that such Council proposes to raise a special loan of £15,000 for the purpose of re-erecting in reinforced concrete the whole of the bridges and culverts (as the case may require) as enumerated in the schedule hereunder, the said loan together with interest thereon at a rate not exceeding five and one quarter per centum per annum is to be repayable in 36>/ 2 years by half-yearly instalments in the manner provided by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, and the security for the said loan shall be an annually recurring special rate during the currency of such loan, of seven fifty-ninths (7-59) of one penny in the £ on the capital value of all the rateable property within Egmont County. It is further proposed to pay out of the said loan the cost of raising the loan, together with the first year's interest thereon, and any preliminary expenses incurred in connection with the purpose for which the said loan is raised.
