There is no official announcement re. garding the purchase of Australian surplus, there being some uncertainty as to whether it will be completed. Wheat.—No cargoes offering. Small sales of Australian ex quay, 71s 6d. Flour. —Very Arm, tlic demand greatly exceeding the offering;. Oats, peas and beans are quite steady. Copper.— £llO ss. Tin.— £245 17s Cd and £243 2s Cd. Lead.—£3o 10s and £29 10s. Spelter.— £54 and £SO. Silver.—3s 9|d per ounce. Shares.—Waihi, 37s Cd to 38s 9d.
