' ACTIVE SUPPORT FOR THE ALLIES. Peking, Oc: 1!. J"he Chinese Government, replying to tie Entente, thanks tliem foe the postponement of payment of the Boxer indemnity, and promises to give facilities for Unlimited supplies for the Allies and for recruiting skilled labor. The Government will observe the strictest control Of enemy subjects and prohibit trading with the enemy and permit potts vacated in the Government service to be filled by the Allies. Internal disturbances will be quilled, allowing Allied commerce to proceed without interruption. Enemy shipping will be le-chartereil by the Chinese.
