, SABOTAGE IN CANADA. GERMAN PLOTS EXPOSED.
Beceived Oct. 11, 5.5 p.m. Washington, Oct. 10. The State Department has published cablegrams from Count Bernstorft', dated January 3, 1916, as follows: "Secret — The General iStaff desires energetic action for the destruction of the Canadian Pacific at several points in order to completely interrupt, traffic. Captain Eoehra has been instructed to inform the military attache to provide the necessary fundß." Signed, Zimmerman. Another cablegram was as follows: "January 22nd. Obtain particulars of persons suitable for carrying out sabotage in the United States and Canada from the following." Then follow three names, including Jeremiah O'Leary, New York, who is described as "reliable but fl.lwa.vs discreet." These persons are indicated by Boper Casement. " • The cable continued:—"Sabotage can be carried out at every kind of munition factory, but the Embassy must not under any circumstances be compromised. Similar precautions must be taken in connection with the Irish" pro-German propaganda." Signed by a representative of the General Staff. NO NEGOTIATIONS WITH HOHEN- " ZOLLERNS.
