*,AST NIGHT OF PEGGY HYLAND IN "THE SIXTEENTH WIFE."
Petrograd, Constantinople and NewYork all figure in the scenes of "The Sixteenth Wife," the sparkling Greater Vitagraph drama screening for the last time at the Empire to-night. In NewYork an amorous Turkish potentate takes the most enormous risks to abduct the pretty American girl with whom lie is infatuated. The picture is remarkable for many scenes of Oriental splendour and also for the remarkable portrayal it gives of life in the harems of the wealthy Turks. Peggy Hyland is the star and she is most seductive vnd charming. TO-MORROW A FOX-FILM. To-morrow and Saturday the brilliant Fox star Valeska Suratt, will be featured in "Jealously" a powerful six reel'drama. On the same programme there will be a two reel Fox comedy, "His Bomb Policy" and the big adventure series 'The Secret of the Submarine." MARY MILES MINTER. "THE INNOCENCE OF LIZETTE" AT EVERYBODY'S. The charming young "Mutual" star Mary Miles Minter. thoroughly entertained and delighted a big audience at Rverybody's last evening in a quaint and homely five reel drama "The Innocence nf Lizette." Mary is a sweet, winsome little actress and the story is interesting and pretty. It is a picture that appeals to everyone in the audience with its human nature story of charm and simplicity. The supporting films are a good selection, and include the "Australian Gazette" and "The Butcher's Nightmare" a humorous two reel comedy. TO-MORROW. The popular emotional Clara Kimball Young will be featured to-morrow and Saturday in her latest success, a seven reel Selznick feature "The Price She Paid." In this picture Miss Young is supported by David Powell who will be remembered for his portrayal of the part of Dick Freneau in "Gloria's Romance." This programme will also include the first adventure of the big Mutual series "The secret of the Submarine," now [playing to record crowds in the prinj ciplc- theatres of the Dominion.
