JT is notified for the information of all wool-growers throughout New Zealand, that in accordance with instructions received from the Imperial Army Contracts Wool Department, London, all wool sent by growers to Government woolbrokers for valuation and purchase must be ( branded with the grower's mark on one end and on one side of each bale. The side on which the brand must be placed is one of the flat sides—in other words, either of the sides of the bale not exposed when the doors of the press are open. Letters and figures appearing in the brand must not be less than three inches in height. In the matter of The Counties Act, 1908, and of The Local Bodies'- Loans Act, 1913, and any amendment of the said Acta and each of them respectively: fTDE Egmont County Council hereby gives Public Notice that such Council proposes to raise a special loan of £16,000 for the purpose of re-erecting in reinforced concrete the whole of the bridges and culverts (as the case may require) as enumerated in the schedule hereunder, the said loan together with interest thereon at a rate not exceeding five and one quarter per centum per annum is to be repayable in 36% years by half-yearly instalments in the manner provided by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, and; the security for the said loan shall be an annually recurring special rate during the currency of such loan, of seven fifty-ninths (7-69) of one penny in the £ on the capital value of all the rateable property within Egmont County. It is further proposed to pay out of the said loan the cost of raising the loan, together with the first year's interest thereon, and any preliminary expenses incurred in connection with the purpose for which the said loan is raised.
