FARM AND DAIRY.

LEPPERTON CHEESE FACTORY. Good progresses being made by Messrs Boon Bros, with the erection of the new dual factory for the Lepperton Dairy Company. The factory is being erected some few chains from the site of the present butter factory, which is one of the .oldest in Taranaki. It is being built on up-to-date lines of concrete and will be a credit to the district. It will have a capacity for five vats, but at present only three vats will be installed. In firder to make use of the splendid water power that has been in use at the old factory a dynamo is being installed and the electrical .power generated will be transmitted to the new factory. At present the Lepperton factory is manufacturing butter, the output being 14 or 15 boxes of butter daily, but it is expected that the new factory will be ready early next month when cheese will be manufactured. Mr. W. Roberts, who has managed the factory for many years past with signal success as regards the manufactured article both at the grading works and at shows, his record being second to none in Taranki, is retaining the management, whilst the company has been fortunate in securing the services of Mr. V. Memberry as cheesemaker, Mr, Memberry having been very successful at Oxford road, of which factory he has been manager since its inauguration.
