PARK TENNIS CLUB.
ANNUAL MEETING. The annual meeting of the Park Tennis Club was held in the Soldiers' Club last night, Mr. H. J. M. Wells presiding over a fair attendance of members, the majority of whom were ladies. BALANCE-SHEET. The balance-sheet showed receipts as £67 12s Gd, and expenditure £4O 12s lOd, the principal item being labor £34 Ins lid. The debit balance was £l2O 12s 3d, as against £l3B 12s 7d at the commencement of the year. In moving the adoption of the bal-ance-sheet the chairman stated that the club had every reason to feel satisfied, considering the times, that the debit balance had been reduced by £lB. This was mainly due to the fact that less had been paid for labor. At present the club was unable to secure the services of a caretaker, so that members would have to do some of the work themselves. This would have one good effect in keeping down expenditure. He considered the membership had been very satisfactory. Mrs. Scanlon seconded the adoption, which was carried.
Mr. P. C. Tribe (secretary) stated that he had called a meeting of guarantors, but with the exception of Messrs Sandford, Wells, and himself none had attended.
