THE CUMBERLAND INQUIRY. Australian-N.Z. Cable Association. Sydney, Oct. 1. The inquiry by the Superintendent of Navigation into the loss of the Cumberland resulted in his finding that the damage to the Cumberland was caused by an explosion, whether external or internal he is unable to say. The evidence pointed more to the former, but he does not feel justified in giving a definite finding. .
