Anti-aircraft gunfire broke up t&« groups and only two,, possible throe machines, penetrated the defence*. Bombs fell in the north-eastern and south-eastern districts.
A fourth group attempted to approach London later and was driven off. None of these penetrated the outer defences, but dropped bombs in Kent and Esses, Full reports of the casualties and damage have not yet been received. Boit* aro believed to be comparatively lipht.
