FISHING. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Taiimarnmii, Last. Might. The Taumaninui Bod and Gun Cluh, on behalf of the Tourist Department. Rotonia. has just liberated 50.000 trout fry in the Wanganui river, and expect* another consignment of 15,000 from the Auckland Acclimatisation Society in a few days. The river is at present well stocked, but in two years' time should ho an angler's paradise. On Sunday there were thirty guns on the. river from Oio to Aukopai. engaged in a big shoot to destroy shags, but Were not very successful.
