DISLOYAL UTTERANCES. By Telegraph.—Prfiss Association. Wellington, Sept. 2D. Jan Pieterae, a member of the crew of the Port Kembia, charged with making • a disloyal utterance, came before the court this morning. ,A.t Nelson he intimated his intention to plead guilty today, tut when asked to plead he said: "Me no speak that never." Consequently he was remanded back to Nelson to appear before the Magistrate there on Wednesday.
BLACKBALL MINm ENQUIRY. Greymouth, Sept. 29. The Court of Inquiry under the Coal Mines Act into charges against Blackball mine ( officials with regard to the recent double drowning cases in the Blackball mine on July 31, when Tipler and Abbott were found drowned in the resulted in the court finding that the charges were not sustained. The, assessors expressed the opinion that a better scheme of reporting in-spections-of the mine was desirable.
