FATALITY AT OKAIAWA.

A CHILD ELECTROCUTED By Wire.—Special to Daily New* Hawera, Last Night. A distressing fatality occurred at OkaJ» awa on Saturday afternoon, whfcreby Gordon Edward Richard, the 7-yetor-oldt son of Mr. Frederick Biohard, met his death. When last seen deceased wan playing with his. younger sister on the lawn in front of the lyiuae. About 2.30 Ivy ran in to her mother, and said that Gordon fell off a pole and could not speak, Her mother hurried to enquire, and found the child apparently dead Medical aid was summoned, but life was extinct. It appears the boy had evidently climbed an electric light pole, and got hold of the live wire* at the top, thus causing his death. An inquest wift be held on Monday.
