A' CO.UPEXSATIO'X CASE. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Sept. 28. In connection with the accident on the Monowai at Auckland in September last year, when several men were injured through the bursting of a sulphuric acid drum, six actions are being commenced against. Rosenhain and Co., and their agents, Wischer and Co.. for damages. The total claims amount to £B(>fto. Proceedings will be commenced in Melbourne and a commission will be appointed gjiortly to take evidence in Auckland.
COURT-MARTIAL AT CAMP.
Wellington, Sept. 28. A court-martial opened at Featherston yesterday to hear it charge against Pri-, vato 11. 11. Thompson, formerly an insurance agent of Wanganui, that- he made an accusation that Dr. I-Totop, of leatherston Military Camp, was under the influence of liquor while examining Thompson. Accused had. been attached to the Records Office and was examined on August 8 and declared fit for active service. He expressed surprise at the decision and wrote to the camp authorities making a complaint, including the statement forming the subject of the charge. The case is unfinished.
