LAST WEEK'S RETURNS. During last week 23,436 passengers travelled on the New Plymouth clectrie tramways and the revenrra-was "£l5B 8s fid. For the corresponding week of last year the number of passengers was 21,797 and the takings £468 7s, which then constituted a record irom the time the service began, the takings on the Saturday ( £3o'ls 8d) and Sunday ('£3 l Is 3d) being at that time also records for those days. It will be noted that although the increase in revenue last week was only Is 5d over that of the week ending September 24, 1916, the number of passengers carried was 1039 greater. The following are the details for last week:—
