Melbourne, Sept. 24. ine annual conference of the interstate Employers' Federation resolved that far-reaching alterations were necessary in the industrial laws. The conference. favored the appointment of a non-political Royal Commission empowered to fix basic scales of wages in various districts throughout Australia. It also adopted a resolution against the Government investing public money in industrial enterprises and against further loan expenditure during tha war, except for war purposes or completing urgent public works.
