THE VIVIFIC FACTORY.

The factory erected some months ago in Collins street, Hawera, for the manufacture of Vivific was the scene of activity on Friday morning, when a representative of The Star went down to inequipment. Five pairs of hands were busily engaged packing, labelling, and boxing large orders received from various parts of tine Dominion. The secretary reports that no less than thirteen gross of tonic, ointment, etc., were under order during last week, and that orders are still coming in as the result of the energetic advertising and travelling campaign by the directors. As one enters the building, it is seen that the equipment of the factory is arranged with a view to the greatest economy o f space and effort. On the left is the sanctum of Mr 3. Moore, where the herbs which form the basis of the medicine and ointment are mixed by herself. Then along the northern wall is the boiling room, with the coppers, and the enamel baths, for further mixing and cooling. At the back are the rooms for storm™ bottles, corks, labels, and the finished article. The building is well lit by electricity. There are stocks of various kinds used in the manufacture, totalling no less than 1800. In the main room are three long tables ready for dispatch. This brief description will serve to show the very complete arrangement made by the company for keeping up supplies of products which have made a great name among file people of Taranaki, and, in fact, of the whole Dominion?
