Extreme prices are ruling owing to the continuous shrinkage of supplies. Four hundred and seventy-nine casks were offered and sold. Mutton, fine, 71a Od; medium, (38s 3d; beef, fine 725; medium 08s, BURNSIDE. ; Prime bullocks £2O ilOs to • £25 ss, medium £7 10s to £9 10s, light £l4 to £lO ss, extra prime cows and heifers to £2O, prime £lO to £'lß, medium £l2 10s to £l4 os, light and unfinished £9 10s to £ll. Sheep (2245 penned).—The quality was better than last week. Prices opened fully equal to last week's rates, but towards the finish medium quality declined about Is. Prime wethers 47s to 535, medium 41s to 49 Bs, light 34a to 3'9s, primo ewes '43 s to 49a, medium 36s to 37s (id, others to 32? Sd. Pigs —The yarding of fats and stores was larger than usuel. Several usual buyers were absent, and cQmpetition was less keen. Prices were a. shade easier. The entry of stores and weaners -was much larger, but all sold at late rates. AUCKLAND. At Westfield choice ox beef brouglit 50s per 1001b, prime 50s to 51s, cow and heifer 50s to oos. (Best wethers brought 45s to 52s per head, others 37s to 44's 9d. The prices realised for bacon pigs were equal to lOd per lb, and those for porkers were equal to 8d to 9£d per lb. ADDINGTON. Store sheep—Four and 6-tooth ewes 35s 9d to 3?a, 4 and G-tooth wethers to 39s sd, 0 and 8-tooth wethers 40s Gd, ewe hoggets 32s 4d, wether hoggets, 24s 4d to 28s Gd, mixed sex hoggets 28s 7d.
