By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. Atmospheric pressure continues very high in the north, but a storm area is in evidence to the westward of New Zealand. Squally northerly winds have predominated, and rain has fallen in several parts of the South Island.

■Present indications are for northerly winds, strong to gale, Increasing cloudiness, and rain following generally. The barometer will be falling everywhere soon.
