ENTERTAINMENTS.
A FOX MASTERPIECE—"THE REGENERATION." No expense has been spared to make "The Regeneration/' showing for the first time at Everybody's tonight, one of the strongest pictures that has ever been filmed. Under such a great director as R. A. Walsh, and with scenes and settings on which no cost was spared, with types from the Bowery that it took weeks and months to secure, ajd in fact, everything as nearly human as humiffi ingenuity can make it, this picture is predicted to be an epoch in the nlm world. There are scenes of New York life that are too human and too perfect to describe by words. The part of Mamie Rose is taken by Anna Nilsson, who, for the past four years has been considered one of the sweetest and most charming actresses of the shadowy screen. Others to contribute to the success of the cast are Rockliffe Fellows, who bourne a star on Broadway his first year in the theatrical world, William Sheer, who has made millions of friends on the screen through his exceptionally fine character work, and thousands of others who go to make this great picture the success that it is bound to have. "This great drama is supported by a beautifully colored scenic picture, "The Mountains of St. Gothland," and another of the marvellous Fox comedies, "An Aerial Joyride." The screening dates are tonight and to-morrow only.
A PICTURE WITH A PURPOSE. "IGNORANCE." "Ignorance," the big six-part picture of life in a big city, produced in cooperation with the Young Women's Protection League and aimed at the social evil, received a great reception at the Empire Theatre last night. The ideal way in which the subject is handled, the clever manner in which the story is told, and the unoffensiveness of its scenes, were the subject of much comment. The story very briefly tells of the adventures of two girls in a city—one comes under the inJluence of "Red the Peddler," and is killed while trying to defend her honor. The District Attorney determined to succeed in his crusade against vice, has "Red" convicted.. "Red's" brother, -known as "The Ghost," seeks vengeance on the District Attorney. iLaura. the other girl, has been befriended by the Attorney, but finally the girl is forced on the streets, but is helped by "The Gho#t." The Attorney has a bitter fight to win out, but do« so and incidentally helps Laura, and 'T'he Ghost" to higher and better things. The whole story is founded on fact and is a big slice of human life powerfully' portrayed on the screen To-night will be the final screening of this picture and .parents should make every effort to see that their daughters are present on this occasion. 'No harm can come to any person frtTin viewing this subject as its influence is all for tlie good.
