PREPARATIONS FOR ADVANCE

NEW OFFENSIVE IN BALKANS.

Washington, Sept 18. Cables from Rome state that the Italian offensive cannot be considered ended. Preparations are going on for an advance beyond Monte Siin Gabrielle. Heavy Austrian attacks have failed. A heavy new Italian offensive will bo undertaken in the Balkans.

Italy is assured of sufficient winter feed by the excess of the wheat crop.

TRAITOROUS ACTS. A COURT-MARTIAL PRESIDING. Received Sept. 19, 7.50 p.m. Rome, Sept. 18. A court-martial has opened in connection with the blowing up of a dynamite factory at Cengio in February, 1918, with a terrible death roll, and a series of vast incendiary outbreaks in Genoa in December, 1915, and February, 1916. The accused are Sergeant-Major Renatti, his wife, father-in-law and four others. Defendants are also charged with giving information to the Austrians. The trial is proceeding with closed doors. THE KING AT TEE FRONT. New York, Sept. IS. The correspondent of the New York Times with the Italians states that tho King Hve3 among tho troops in a modest villa, and works unceasingly seeing to the comfort of the troops.
