By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. A westerly depression has ruled southwards of the Dominion, but high barometer has persisted in north. Northerly and westerly winds, strong to gale, have predominated. The weather has been gloomy generally and boisterous in and southward of Cook Strait, with rain in many parts. Present indications are for strong, northerly winds northwards of Kawhia and the East Cape, and westerlies to southerlies elsewhere. Expect squally and changeable and showery weather.
