The chairman spoke in appreciative terms of the good work done by the late Mr .Lepper during his many years' association with the club as chairman and member of the committee, anil it win resolved to forward a letter of condolence to Mrs. Lepper. The Stratford Racing Club's programme for the meeting on January Ist was approved. Licenses were granted as follows: — Trainers: B. T. Bennett, Herbert Jury, J. J. Thacker. Jockeys: Hector E. Grey (conditional), C. C. Cochrane. Gentlemen riders: Robert Munmy, A. J. Davy, Frank Radford, and AV. Fowler. TARANAKI JOCKEY CLUB. The Taranaki Jockey Club's Committee met subsequently, the above members being present, with the exception of Messrs J. Grey, S. Pitt, Tonks, Good, and AA 7 . 11. 11. Young. Mr. C. O'Connor was appointed stutter for the autumn meeting, and Mr. R. E. Harlev for the Christmas meeting. It was decided to donate £SO towards the Returned Soldiers' Association fo? the Big Push, also £ 1-00 to the Y.M.C.A. and £IOO to the Salvation Army AVar Fund. Tt was decided to call for tenders for alterations and additions to the totalisator house. It was also decided to erect a newjudge's box with a timekeeper's box attached. Programmes for the Christmas and February meetings were approved, showing increased stakes amounting to £475. Four new members were proposed. 'The Course Committee was requested to consider the question of laying down a, sand track.

Accounts amounting to £ 13 3s 9d were passed for payment.
