annual meeting. The twenty-flrst annual meeting bf the Oaonui Dairy Company, Ltd., was veld in the Oaonoi Hall last Tuesday, • when Mr. J. C. O'Rorke, chairman of directors, presided over a good attend* ance. ■ REPORT AND BALANCE-SHEET. The report- submitted showed the following working results: Milk received at .' cheese factories 9,206,2441b, butter-fat 344,0881b, cheese made 920,5751b, milk to lib of cheese 101b, cheese to lib at butter-fat 2.631b, avorage test 3.70, milk '■ received at Gutter factory J10,9971b, but-ter-fat 14,2001b, butter made M,1921b, milk to lib butter .19.21b, over-run 13.3, average test UtO. Whoy butter to tho ' value of £893 Is 3d was made during the cheese making poriod. Payments for ' the year avoraged 14d per lb butter-fat, and there now remains a surplus of ■ ' £O3BB 19 Od. It is proposed to write "■■■* off 1)1000 for depreciation, and m&ke'a M payment to suppliers at date of meating,of 30 p.c. on year's supply. There is yet to be received a settlement on account of 1476 crates of cheese that was 1 commandeered by the Imperial Government, on which an advance of Sd (per lb was made by the company's agents, Messrs J, Lonsdale and Co., Ltd. j The balance-sheet showed receipts toi ' have been £36,161 3s 9d, the principal - ■ items being: Creamery butter galea . £MB l-2s Id, whey butter sales £893 Is 3d, cheese sales £33,000 3s 3d, cheese on hand £l4l tis Bd, butter an 'hand £272 6s 6d.
The principal items of oxpenditura were; Salaries, £1606 lis 3d; boxea and ' crates £4Ol Is id, cartags £690 Ss lid, fuel £690 14s 4d; stores and requisites £S3S 3s; trade expenses £290 Is 0d; , export charges £287 0s 4d; interest £l5O Cs'9d; export levy £1097 la 6d; i; advances to suppliers £21,197 10s 4d: leaving a balance of £93BS 19s 6d. It was resolved that a payment of 2% per cent, on 191'5-10 working be made ( £SI9 lis 3d), a further paymant of 30 per cent, on 1910-17 ( £6350 5s It), I per cent, interest on subscribed capi- . i tal ( £34 9g sd), that £IOOO be written off for depreciation, and £1135 13s M added to the surplus on comtnandeered fheese, when to hand, such amount to provide a final payment pro rata to eifp- / pliers. " ELECTION OF DIRECTORS. Directors were elected as follo'WSr— Messrs O. Cross (Arawhata factory), R. P. Malcolm, J. C. O'Rorke, J. Flewiflg, J •: Jas. Young, R. L. Eustace,'and H. A. V. > "•' Jordan. Mr. Geo. W. Rogers was reappointed auditor at a fee of £8 Ss. ELECTION OF CHAIRMAN. , ' At a subsequent meeting Mr. .T. ■O'Rorke was re-elected chairman.
