In the Supreme Court in the case in which John Cross was awarded £IOOO damages from Alexander Colquhoun, farmer, now of Trentham Cam]), for tho seduction of his daughter who, at the time of the alleged misconduct, was under 18 years of age, a non-suit point ivas raised by the defence that there was insufficient corroborativo evidence of plaintiff's story. This point was reserved for argument in Wellington.
