LIFE-SAVING SOCIETY.
.EXECUTIVE MEETING, A meeting of the executive of the North. Taranaki head centre of the Rovni Life-Saving Society was held last night. Present: S. G. Smith (chairman), P. J, Flannagan, J. Bennett, C. Bond, G. Gilbert, If. Winter, N. A. Christensen and P. A. Schwartz (secretary). Messrs B. Allen, J. iP. Wheelan and R. Bennick were elected members of the centre. Mr. B. S. Knox was re-appointed representative of the centre on the Dominion executive, and a vote of thanks was passed to him for his past services. It was decided to request the patron and vice-pVcsidents of the old New Plymouth Surf Club to accept office as vicepresidents of the centre. The following honorary officers were appointed: Instructors, P. A. Sen wart?, (chief and, supervisor), Miss F. White, Miss L. L. Dowling, Messrs Christensen, Winter, AAalker, and Culliford; examiners, Misses White and Dowling, Messrs P. A. Schwartz, P. Mclsaacs, N. A. Christensen and G. Gilbert; centre representatives, M-ssrs Lang (Waitara), Culliford (KUham), Blvthe (Optmake), McDonald (Mokau), Ma.honey (Ilav/era), and Seavright (fnglewood).
