America's national game, baseball, Is a strong feature of the clevar Trianglo play, "The Pinch-hitter," which is being shown at the Empire Theatre to-night The leading role is in the hands of diaries Ray, who takes the part of a country lout who goes to college, and is here, on account of his awkwardness, made tho butt of the students. The queer title of "The Pinch-hitter" Is an Americanism drawn from the slang ot baseball, and means "the last hope of his side," The supporting caste i 3 strong, and the photography, as usual with Triangle Kay Bee features, provides some new ideas. The auxiliary films include the latest Gaumont Graphic and a highly-amusing comedy. This programme will be shown for to-night only TO-MORROW An entirely new programme will be screened again to-morrow when the chief attraction will be the Metro feature "The Power of Decision" starring Frances Nelson.
