■ ALLEGED BETTING FRAUDS. Wellington, Last Night. The hearing was resumed at the Magistrate's Court of charges against Fraser, Hodge=, Fitzgerald, and McWilliams, in connection with betting transactions. At the close of the case for the crown. Fraser pleaded not guilty and was committed for trial. The information against, Hodges was dismissed, and as Fitzgerald and McWilliams decided to tender evidence, their cases were adjourned to Tuesday. THE C2 EXAMINING BOARD. Wellington, Last Night. Surgeon-General Henderson states that the following have been appointed as the C2 Examining Beard: Lieut.-Colonel Andrews (principal medical officer. Tren.tham), president of the board; Captain Hogg (Trentham camp), Captain Mercer (Featherston cauip), and Major Blackett, . (combatant officer). There will be only one board for the Dominion, and it will work from Auckland southward through the country.
