A HUGE LOAN. JAPAN'S FULLEST SUPPORT TO DEFEAT GERMANY. Received Sept. 7, 1.45 a.m. Washington, Sept. C. An agrement between the leaders has assured the passage of the War Bond Bill for 11,533,000,000 dollars, the largest financial appropriation ever proposed. It includes four billions advanced to the Allies. Mr. McAdoo announced that additional loans of a hundred million had been made to Britain and France. The Japanese mission appeared in Cpngre3s and was enthusiastically received. Baron Ishii, in his address, warned them against plots to sov discord between the United .States and Japan. "Our co-operation,'" he said, "should protect us from these forces of evil. Wo bring the assurance of Japan's fullest support in order to defeat Germany." COMPLETE DEFEAT. BRUTALISED, PRUSSIANISED GERMANY. Received Sept. 6, 5.5 p.m. London, Sept. 5. Colonel Roosevelt, in a speech, declared there must be no peace except through the complete defeat of the brutalised ■Prussianised Germany of the Hobenzollerns. Germany's methods of warfare were hideous beyond belief, being cruel and unspeakably 1 utal. Colonel Roosevelt declared that the German language papers in the United States were scandalously disloyal, and should be suppressed. ANTI-AUSTRIAN CAMPAIGN. STRONG PRESSURE ON AMERICA. Washington, Sept. 9. The United Press learns that the Allies are likely shortly to undertake a new strong anti-Austrian campaign. Strong pressure is being exerted to induce America to declare war against Austria. THE I.W.W. RAIDED. STOPPING PRO-GERMAN ACTIVITIES Received Sept. 0, 8 p.m. Renter Service. N< v York, Sept. 5. Federal agents simultaneously raided I.W.W. headquarters in a score of American cities, seizing literature fnd closing premises. A reason for the huge drive was to stop pro-German activities. The Labor organisations in the United States have opened their first great convention at Minneapolis by pledging their unwavering support to the Government's war programme.
