j lIAULIXG VESSEL ASHORE. ■ By Telegraph.—Press Association. Greymtaith, Sept. 5. Since six o'clock this morning tlie Harbor Board start have, been -working at the Opouri. and a locomotive has been hauling the vessel towards tbe shore, with the object of Teaching the sandy beach. Considerable progress has been made, and it is hoped to get the ressel clear of the rocks to-day. The main hatch covers were washed off last night, and it is feared that .parishable cargo has been destroyed.
