Sydney, Sept. 3. Acceptors for the Epsom cup include Shrill, Sweet Corn, Tressida; for the Metropolitan Handicap: Kilboy, Shrill. M. <hirrin, Geo. Ford, James Grant, T, C. Gormley, R, Hicks, D. J. Goodwin, W. Slattcry, Vv. J. Jamieson, N. U. Morriu, ■K. H. Cucksey. A. W. Webster; stewards, Messrs J. M. Currin, R. Hicks, Geo. Ford, A. C. Johnstone, M. Jones, W. J. Bradford, W .Slattcry; T. C. Gormlev, James Grant. VV. L. Jamieson. A. W. Webster; lion, treasurer, Mr. A. W. Webster. The report mentioned that the third meeting, held on fluster Monday, was' ill every i\yay a- great success. There was a large attendance, and the turnover for the totalisator increased from £SOOO to close on £II,OOO. The racing was of a very high order. The stakes'were increased from £O3O to £785, and the meeting showed a net profit of some WCS. For the classical event, the Futurity Stakes, the first race will take place at next meeting. Horses have been freely nominated—4B for 11)18 and 4!) for lOl'J. The thanks of the club are duo to the Kgmont Racing Club for the uso of their course and appointments, and to the paid and honorary officials whose efforts made the meeting the success it was. Special mention might be. made of the excellent condition of the course, reflecting credit on the caretaker.
