FURIOUS BOMBARDMENTS. FEEBLE ENEMY RESPONSE. Rome, Sept. 3. The Italians are furiously bombarding Mounts San Gabrielle and San Daniel. The former has been completely isolated for iho past week. The reply of the mountain batteries is feeble, owing to the heavy artillery hiring removed to the Ternova Plateau. .Austrian prisoners now coming in belong to reserve units. GERMANS TO THE RESCUE. BUT ITALIANS PUSH THEM BACK. Received Sept. 5, 12.25 a.m. . Washington, Sept. 4. A despatch to the Italian Embassy states that Germans are being rushed to the Austro-Italian front, but are being pushed back. . The Emperor Charles visited the front for the purpose of encouraging the Austrians. , v . • The Italians continue successful. A FURTHER ADVANCE. London, Sept. 3. Italian official: We advanced further eastward in the Brestovizza Valley. ENEMY RUSHTNf! UP REINFORCEMENTS. Rome, Sept. 3. Bad weather is interfering with the Italian advance. The enemy is rushing up reiuforcements.
