REPORTS FROM OTHER OEOTRES. Danncvirke has subscribed £66,792 to the war loan, £13,102 through the post office and £43,,«)0 through the banks. The post office "business would have been larger but for big investments through this medium being credited to Napier. ■Mr. Frank Armstrong, Akitio, is the largest individual investor with £SOOO. The total invested in the Liberty Loan in the Eltham district was over £28,000. The post office received over £l-8,000, and the remainder of the busi< ness was done through the banks. In Masterton £206,363 wag subscribed to the loan, £188,500 through the banks and £17,863 through medium of the po?t office. The total amount subscribed in Wangamii to the War Loan was £254,010, including the post office £102,760, <bankg £05,300, and brokers £56,850. Very brisk war loan business was done at the Christchurch post office on Monday, the building being invaded by crowds of people. The following investments were made on Monday:—Four and a-half per cent, war bonds, £100,250; war loan certificates, ££9,332; post offico war bonds, £52,500; total for the day, £242,082. Patea Harbor Board decided to invest £SOOO, the Egmont Racing Club £2OOO, and the Meremwe Dairy Factory £IOOO in tho loan. Pahiatua subscribed over £42,000, Pongaroa £BOOO, but the Akitio runholders made considerable investments at various eentres. The iPahiatua branch of the Bank of' New Zealand put through over £22,000, and the post office con« siderably exceeded £18.000.' The amount subscribed at the Dunedin post office for the loan was approximately £487,500. In, the Tiiajieka county the amount was approximately. £34,000. Invcrcargill, Sept. 3. For the war loan the post office received £236,000 and the city banks £63,000. ,The amounts received by country banks are - not yet in but are estimated at well over £30u,000.
