MR VIGOR BROWN SEEKS INFORMATION. tc Has he noticed tliat the firm of Ar•mour and C 0.,, Australasia, Ltd., capital £20,000, in 'WOO shares at £5 each, was registered on October 3rd, 1910, (Mr. W. J. Cannery being allotted 39SS fehares, Mr. W. J. Kingdon one and Mr. O. T. Alpers one " This was question of which Mr. J. Vigor Brown gave notice in Parliament the other day to a-slc the Prime Minister. "Armours," added the lion, member, "have four freezing •companies in New Zealand, with a registered capital of £20,000. Is this company with comparatively such a small •capital formed witli a view to avoiding 'New Zealand land taxation? It seems .to mo that the enormous transactions /that are carried on by this company ■cannot be done on a capital of £20,000. Can't the Government do something to ibring in taxation to cover such concerns ■in some different way than it does at .present "
