• THIEVES SENTENCED. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Nepier, Sept. 1. A seaman named George Fallows was found guilty of the theft of a pair of boots from the cargo of a Home liner and sentenced to two months' hard labor. John Moriarty pleaded guilty to the theft of bicycles and bicycle parts, and was sentenced to two years' reformative treatment.
