NORTH TARANAKI HUNT.
POINT TO POINT STEEPLECHASE. The season of the North Taranaki Hunt was closed on Thursday with a point to point steeplechase meeting on the properties of Messrs J. Cole and J. Edwin, of Wailii, where there was a large crowd of spectators. The course i was about two miles, the horses having | to go twice round to complete that dis- '■ tauee, and fourteen jumps had to be negotiated. Messrs Edwin and Skelton acted as starters, and Messrs Wheatley and llulcoiube as judges. The i'oilowin" are details of the racing:—■ ' SECOND-CLASS HUNTERS. 'j. Edwin's Admiral Bell (D. At the cud of j the lirst round Black Jack was still in ■ front, with Patronale second, Admiral . Bell third, and Nigger fourth.
