NEW PLYMOUTH WOMEHS COMMITTEE. . . .The New Plymouth Women's Patriot* Committee- have dispatched to the front this month J2 cases of Christmas gift! (54-1 parcels), each containing one cawof plug tobacco, also six benzine cans of Christmas cakes. The following, is a list of the goods forwarded:—Highlander milk o2S tins, 'Highlander milk coffee 4S tins, salmon 480 tins, mullett 384 tins, St. George meat pastes 240 tins, honey 240 tins, currio 216 tins, .Gear sheep tongues 102 tins, K assorted jams ISO tins, Bournville cocoa 144 tins, Mojo chewing gum 144 packets, Tucker's, soups, 72 packets, Lifebuoy soap 72 packets,' walnuts 51ib, Cafe-au-lait 48 tins. Fotu hundred tins of sugar and sweets were packed in the depot. Four hundred and forty pounds (4401b5) Derby -and 'Ha.v£lock plug tobacco; six benzine cans of cake, each 251b; 540, pairs box, ,540 small towels, 540 pairs bootlaces; also the baby prize box of tea put up in small lines. Mrs. Burgess wishes to thank those friends who are supplying the benzino cases each month, and a special word,of thanks is duo to Mr. Colman, senr., who is making all the cases used each month, at his own workshop. This kindness is very much -appreciated by the Women's Patriotic Committee.'. Tie lady packers worked well, ano? several gentlemen gave valuable help, in the; evenings. The store staff of Messrs Bargess, Fraser and Co., were at,their post as usual, doing the casing, 'wiring an 4 stencilling, assisted by Mr: Colman, junr., and Mr. Austin. ■ The Mayoress is appealing for book* and periodicals to pack for soldiers. Foil* cases are sent every month from the dex pot for troopships, and are greatly apn predated by the men on the long yoy* age.
