New Zealand and' Argentine stocks are exhausted; Australian and Irish creamery, per cwt., 20!!s, unsalted 209?. The Food Controller has decided to fix prices for butter to take effect on and after September 3, on the basis of last maximum prices. Maximum retail prices will he fixed on the basis of these prices. Cheese.—Market continues lirm. Eng-' lish eheddar, 'per cwt., 1325. Hemp.—-Manila market: There is no material change in the market. A fair quantity has arrived, which will greatly assist manufacturers. Output from August 1 to 15, 52,000 bales. New Zealand market: Market practically cleared, in view of possible Government action values firmly maintained on the basis of il'.'U per ton for high-point fair; but at this price consumers evince little interest. Wheat. —Offerings (mutilated 'word). A moderate business has been done. Third grade Manitoba Northern, atloat, §o*. Oats.-r-Markct steady at last quotations.
