THE EMPIRE.
.«• "A MAN AND THE WOMAN." A BRILLIANT PICTURE DRAMA. There was a good attendance at the Empire last evening when the splendid photo-play "A.Man and the Woman" from Entile Zola's "Nautas" was screened for the first time. The much-discus-sed, original story has been closely followed and gives the photo-play a novel and romantic quality that has a direct ■and decided fascination over the audience. Ladies especially appreciated the fine portrayal of the heroine who offers a home to a struggling young artist in return for his name, and this after lier trust has been cruelly abused by another man. This fine dramatic film lias all the necessary qualities to attract and interest picture-goers and will no doubt draw a capacity house to-night. TO-MORROW. WILLIAM FARNU'M. The popular screen idol "William Furnitm, will be featured to-morrow and again on Saturday afternoon and evening, in the Fox photo-play "The End of the Trial," a thrilling adventure story of the frozen north. At the evening sessions William Desmond will also be starred in the Triangle feature ''The Criminal."
