POST AND TELEGRAPH CONFERENCE. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Yesterday. The 'Post and Telegraph conference today passed a resolution suggesting a scale of bonuses to meet the special distress owing to the depreciated purchasing power of the sovereign; also suggest ing the payment of a war bonus to temporary postmistresses devoting full time to their duties, and urging Die Government to grant half pay to officers wli-, have left on active service, and been transferred to specialists' duties. The conference decided to protest against the reduction of travelling allowances; also against the Department's action in demanding a refund of the 1010 war bonus from officers who afterwards left on active service.
