High water at New Plymouth to-day at 4.37 a.m. and 5.24 p.m.; to-morrow at 6.11 a.m. and 6.58 p.m. thesunT The eun rises to-day at 6.32 a.m. and sets at 5.28 p.m.; to-morrow, rises at 6.30 a,m. and sets at 5.30 p.m. EXPECTED ARRIVALS. Huia, from Wellington and Wanganui, to-day. Rimu, from North, to-morrow. ARRIVED. August 20.—Arapawa, s.s., 291 tons, Keatley, from Onehunga. SAILED. August 27.—Oorinna, s.s., 1271 tons, Ellers, for Wellington. August 27.—Arapawa, sjs., 291 tons, Keatley, for Onehunga. THE RIMU. The Rimu, which is taking up the Rnrawa's running I)etwecn New Plymouth and Onehunga while the latter vessel is undergoing overhaul, was due here this morning. Word was received yesterday, however, that the Rimu was bar bound at Onehunga. She will leave, weather and bar permitting, to-night, arriving hero to-morrow morning and sailing on return in the evening. THE CORINNA. The Oorinna sailed last night for Wellington, having unloaded 700 tons of general cargo during the day. THE HUIA. The Huia left Wanganui on Sunday for New Plymouth, but had to put back through stress of weather. She sailed again at 1.40 p.m. yesterday, and is due here this morning. THE ARAPAWA. The Arapawa, bound from Onehunga for Waitara, found the swell on the bar at the latter place too heavy to cross, and came on to New 'Plymouth for shelter, anchoring in the bay. Yesterday word was received that the bar was still unnegotiable, so the little steamer came alongside the New Plymouth wharf, discharged her Waitara cargo, and sailed again for Onehunga last night. DEPARTURES. Wellington, August 27.—5.5. Huia, for New Plymouth.
