Mr. Hughes, replying to a statement that the New Zealand Govenrment was making available to the people the foodstuffs which they were unable to ship to Britain owing to scarcity of freight, said he proposed inquiring aa to New Zealand's policy. Mr. Hughes also announced that the British Board of Trade had oTcred a further £IOOO, making the total rewards £!000 in connection, with the Cumberland explosion.
