DAIRY COMPANY MEETINGS.

ALTON. 'Die eighth annual meeting of members was held at the Alton Hall on luesday afternoon. Mr A. J, Gibbs, chairman of directors, presided, and there were present 17 shareholders. The report and balance-sheet were .adopted. _ The report elated, inter alia, that sufficient surpluses accrued on the •unsold output appearing in the 1915-10 report to allow your directors to bring .the total payment for that season up to Is Od per lb butter-fat. Payments have been made for the past season at Is Od per lb of butter-fat. Butler-fat tax. l —This class tax, which has caused so much comment, penalised your company to the extent of £074 (is lOd. Your directors recommend: That £lO be placed to a reserve for re-painting; that £75 of the profits from the store be placed to a reserve for future requirements in connection with the store; and that balance at credit of appropriation account be paid out as available. For two seats on the ■board Messrs Jas. Gibbs and H. Hodge, the retiring, directors, were returned unopposed. Mr K. C. Horner was appointed auditor.

At the first meeting of the new board ,Mr A. J. Gibbs was re-elected chairman for the ensuing twelve months.
