GREAT FIRE AT SALONIKA. 80,000 HOMELESS. New York, Aug. 20. Advices received here state that there has been a great fire at Salonika, in which half the «ity was burned. London, Aug. 20. The fire occurred at Salonika on the IStli. and 80,000 persons are homeless. The loss of life is unknown. On tbe evening of the IMb. the fire was under control ORIGINATES IN BULGARIAN QUARTER. 40,000 JEWS HOMELESS. ' Deceived Aug. 22, K.SO a.m. Paris, Aug. 21. Le Temps' Salonika correspondent states that tie fire started in the Bull garian quarters, and. despite the efforts of the Greeks and" the Allied troops, it spread rapidly, the entire commercial district being involved.
