The following licenses were granted:— Trainers: P. W. Seally, H. Eva, J. Pine, T. F. Goddard, A. Henderson, H. A. Nodder. Jockeys: E. E. Browne, L, W. Nodder, J. V. Miles. Apprentice jockeys: H. H. Tonks.
, A trainer's license and an apprentice jockey's license were grafted, subject to certain conditions being filled. It was decided to recommend for registration the Uruti Beach Picnic Club. ,
Two elaims for accidents to joefcem -were recommended to the trustees.
R was decided that in future all applications for trainers' and-jockeys' licenses must be in the district commit--tec's office not later than the seeon4 Friday in each month. TARANAKI JOCKEY OUJB, The Taranaki Jockey Club committee met subsequently, al| the above being present, with the exception of Messrs Tonks, Good, Gray, (Pitt and Young. The following officers were eleeted:-* Assistant clerk of scales, Mr. W, Nicoll; clerk of course, Mr. A. Lash; timekeeper, Mr. J. Bennett; handieapper, Mr, J. Coyle. Mr. J. R. L. Stanford wrote accepting the position of judge at the Christmas meeting. The transfer of Mr. "Highden's" horse* engaged in the fourth Taranaki "stakes to Mr. J. Goring Johnston was approved. Several sub-committees for the season were elected.
